Video Game Shoot Out

In my dream, I was telling someone how to play a video game. I was suggesting how they could some obstacles in the game, and their character jumped off a building and into some water.

It was now my turn to start playing the game, but as I began to navigate my character, I became my character. I gathered up some red discs, which I understood to be some kind of grenade and began to throw them in the direction of where the other character had landed in the water.

Then the character reemerged, and I hid behind a post. My wife was with him and saw me. She kept quiet and walked him past me where I could get a clean shot at him. I remember firing something at him, but missing every time.

I then had to scurry around to return his return fire and dove for some extra ammunition, which could be loaded into a pen and then fired. I fired at him again, but then I woke up.
