Running into a Business Partner

I was driving down the street in my old home town — sort of near where my old elementary school used to be. I was pulling up to a stoplight, but in the last five feet of my stop, my wheels lost traction and I ran into the car in front of me.

It was a light bump, which didn’t do any damage. The car in front of me was red, and the driver opened her door and looked back at me. She didn’t seem angry or disturbed at all, and just sort of smiled at me and motioned that it was alright.

We continued through the stoplight making a right. I can’t quite remember if I pulled over or what, but my passenger door opened, and the woman climbed into my car. She was talking on the phone and then hung up and turned to me.

She said that she guessed she needed to find a job. She said it as if she had been enjoying not having to work. She said that she was considering working with a friend to start a match-making service. She asked me if I could help.

I suggested that she could run the sales and marketing side of the operation and that I could run the accounting/treasury and finance portion of the business. At about that time, my alarm went off and I woke up.
