cant wake up

i was very depressed at the time i could sleep for day on end and would only get up to eat very little and use the bath room. I would be sleeping and I could feel myself trying to wake up but couldnt my body wouldnt move I coulnt make myself say anything but would try so hard to scream for someone to help me wake up it was like i was paralized i would be crying and so scared because it was like i was awake but couldnt make myself get up and it took all I had to get up it was so scary. I just want to know what caused these dreams. also I would sleep days on end and when i would get up to eat drink ext I felt like I hadnt slept in days and could barely hold my body up
