A Visit to Turkey

I arrived in Turkey on a trip. I don’t know why I was there. I had always wanted to see the catacombs beneath the city, and I immediately found an entrance to what I believed were the catacombs.

I had to stoop down to walk in. They were very clean and well lit. It seemed more like a museum exhibit than anything else.

As I continued to walk, the ceiling got lower and lower to the point where I had to crawl on my belly.

I got to the point where I thought I would be stuck as I crawled beneath an iron gate, but I got through.

As I emerged on the other side, I saw a man who looked to be a tour guide. He was very happy to see me and began showing me around.

At some point in the tour, I broke off and began following two youths — probably about 20 or so. They were discussing events in the middle east and had just heard over the radio that the Iraqi government had been overthrown.

They seemed both excited and concerned at the same time.

I began to think to myself that I hadn’t tipped the first man I had seen for all his help. At that point, I woke up.
