Description:

I was walking through a parking garage, winding up and down the rows of cars as I ascended to the upper levels of the garage.

When I got near to the level of my car, I looked across the garage and saw someone trying to break into my car. It was one of those split level garages, so my car was still 1/2 level above me, but I could look across and see it.

I was a little afraid to confront the thief immediately, so I decided to walk on up to the level my car was on and then do it.

When I got up to the next level of the garage, the thief had moved on to another car, a white one, and was using a blow torch to saw into the car. It seemed a little excessive and the was now missing a bit chunk out of it.

I also realized that the thief was not alone. He had a group of people with him that was helping.

I decided not to confront him, but to call the police. I walked way around the group trying not to pay attention to them and went to my car.

I drove to the bottom of the garage to try to stop them by blocking their way, but by the time I got to the bottom, they were already outside the garage.

They were driving a black and gray Honda Soul. I’m not sure why that type of car stuck in my head, but I guess it has a unique look.

They got out of the car and were talking and then they all left except for one person.

At this point, I was on the phone with a 911 operator, but I walked over to the guy and confronted him about breaking into the cars.

I grabbed his bag and started rifling through it to look for evidence. He seemed very offended and grabbed my notebook and began to flip through it in protest.

There wasn’t anything in the guys bag to make anyone think he had stolen anything, and I began to think he might not have anything to do with the thieves.

I explained to him what had happened and he was very understanding. I lifted my cell phone and apologized to the 911 operator for putting her on hold and continued to explain my story.

At that point, I woke up.
