Talking with the Wolf Guy

I was hanging out with a guy who is an expert on wolves and lives with them (I think there was a story about him on NPR that I could hear in my dream). There were a few dogs sitting around us that I was also interacting with.

There was one very large tanish gold dog that seemed to be made of rock. He seemed very leathery and solid. As I talked about him (the dog), he seemed to shift in and out of being a dog and a human. At one point he even began to speak to me.

Then the wolf expert and the dogs all moved off in a pack. I was watching them from a distance. The wolf expert seemed to become more wild and ancient – he didn’t have a shirt on and carried a bow with arrows. From the side, a large bear was coming towards the wolf pack. The wolves didn’t notice, but the man did.

He began to shoot the bear with arrows and killed it. I remember seeing the streaks of blood run down the bears fur just as it got up to the wolf pack and that was the end of the dream.
