Description:
I was standing on a rocky sandbar by a creek. I think it was the creek that runs by my dad’s house because he was there with me. I was fishing and had just cast out the line when I saw it start to get pulled down stream.
I began to pull and reel in the line and I could feel that I had a really big fish on the end. As I reeled, I could see the fish swim across the creek and under a rock ledge.
The line got stuck on some of the rocks, so I couldn’t get the fish out. I waited a bit and the fish swam back out from under the rocks and the line was free again. I reeled him in the rest of the way and my dad pull him out of the water.
My dad made the comment that he hadn’t seen anyone ever recover a fish that got stuck like that before. My dad isn’t really a fisherman at all, but I remember feeling very proud because of the comment.
The fish itself was about two and a half feet long and really large. I began to cut him up and he seemed to just fall apart into perfectly-formed, pre-cooked fish fillets. I was able to pop a few bites in my mouth and it tasted great.
At this point, I woke up.
