Not Enough Vacation Days

I dreamed that my wife, my son and I were on vacation. I couldn’t tell if we were visiting my wife’s family or my family. It was a Thursday, and all of the sudden, I realized that I hadn’t told my office that I was going to be on vacation!

I had already taken 4 vacation days for it, and I remember that I had only accrued 1 and 1/2 days of vacation so far this year.

I told my wife that I was going to have to head back to work the very next day. I warped over to my office in the dream where I realized that I actually had been at work all that week and could now remember just how hard I had been working there in real life.

One of my coworkers had left me a card saying how much they appreciated my work, and I remember telling her that it was totally unnecessary to give me the card, but thank you.

I then remember walking out into a courtyard at work and seeing a grey building. I had a brief flashback of the building in my dream, and it was decorated with pink streamers for a party, but then it flashed again and the decorations were gone.

Someone told me that the building was being converted into a children’s daycare center. I can’t remember any more of the dream beyond that.
